Josamarie “Josie” Stalcar

Josamarie Stalcar is a freelance musician based in Pennsylvania, a music educator at Susquehanna Township Middle School, and a member of the Chromatic Brass Collective. While attending the Pennsylvania State University (PSU), Josamarie studied trumpet under Dr. Langston Fitzgerald III and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Josamarie’s experience in ensemble work at PSU included Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Blue Band, and the Graduate Student Brass Quintet.

Josamarie’s recent performances include ongoing virtual concerts with the Chromatic Brass Collective, a chamber performance at the 2022 International Horn Symposium, and performing as a competitor and chamber musician at the 2022 International Women’s Brass Conference.

Josamarie's primary goal is to support young musicians from marginalized communities by amplifying their voices and assisting them in acquiring the necessary resources to make music. Josamarie aims to increase the presence of brass players who identify as female, black, indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ in the music world.
