What does SSA teach? 
SSA offers private lessons in voice, piano, stringed instruments, woodwinds, guitar, and percussion. 

How long are the lessons? 
SSA offers 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons. Lesson duration depends on skill level and student age.

How often do lessons take place each week?
Lessons are scheduled one time per week.

How much does it cost? 
The fall semester is comprised of 14 lessons. Tuition is charged by the semester*. Rates are as follows:

30 minute lesson: $350.00 per semester
45 minute lesson: $525.00 per semester
60 minute lesson: $700.00 per semester

The spring semester is comprised of 19 lessons. Tuition is charged by the semester*. Rates are as follows:

30 minute lesson: $475.00 per semester
45 minute lesson: $712.50 per semester
60 minute lesson: $950.00 per semester

A maximum of ten (10) lessons are available during the summer semester. Tuition is charged per lesson during the summer only. Contact the Program Coordinator for details regarding summer lessons.

30 minute lesson: $25.00 per scheduled lesson
45 minute lesson: $37.50 per scheduled lesson
60 minute lesson: $50.00 per scheduled lesson

*A pro-rated semester cost can be provided to students beginning lessons mid-semester.

Are there scholarships available? 
Yes.  Needs-based scholarships are available for those who qualify.  Click on the tab for a scholarship application form.

When can I begin? 
Once your application has been received, we will work with you to arrange a time for lessons.

Where are you located?
We are located on the bottom floor of the St. Lawrence Chapel in downtown Harrisburg. Our address is 110 State Street, one half-block from the riverfront.  Parking is metered, but free after 5pm.

When is the administrative office open for phone calls?

The Program Coordinator is available for phone calls Monday-Thursday from 4:00pm-7:30pm from September-June. July and August hours may vary so leave a message and we will return your call!
